"I called with a question about my billing and umbrella policy. I asked whether the policy was billed yearly or monthly and was told yearly. I explained that I believed I had paid through the end of the year, yet the policy renewed with my auto policy after only six months.

I asked to see my payment receipts from before June, since they aren’t available in my app. The agent refused to provide them and told me the system wouldn’t have done it if it weren’t true.

That is not an acceptable answer. A customer questioning a charge is entitled to see the payment records behind it. Telling me to trust the system, with no documentation and no attempt to look into the discrepancy, is a failure of basic customer service. I ended the call with my question unanswered and no way to verify what I was being charged. I may be wrong and this could very well be an issue on my end, ill never know."
